Dunno. Stopped streaming after one hour. Mebbe someday I'll get to see how it ends - looked to be an interesting story.

Too slow moving Characters seem to mumble and made it hard to understand a lot of the time. Took to long before you found out why Grace was walking with a cane and the story actually evolved.

Well-made, plenty of good character moments and ideas. The process of navigating grief was depicted thoughtfully and maturely. However, the fundamental premise undermines the entire movie. It’s a very sensative, dramatic movie, full of feelings, but anytime something happens, the thought occurs, “don’t worry, it’s just chemicals.” It makes every feeling irrelevant. Every conflict unimportant. We’re just a cluster of atoms, guided by chemicals. It’s a depressingly shallow view of existence. Interesing to consider, perhaps even true. But when applied to a teen drama, it kills all relevance.

The acting was one-dimensional and 90% of the time the characters seemed incapable of speaking without hesitance, which distracted from the overall story line. It was indistinguishable from every other melodramatic teen romance movie. The only redeeming quality was the discussion of the chemical reactions behind emotions and love/heartbreak. It was good to see Lili Reinhart in a different role from her Riverdale character.
