Very disappointing...nearly awful. At least 20 minutes too long...dragged quite often, with unnecessary violence. Emily Blunt, whom I normally really like, was badly miscast...robot-like. Josh Brolin, also a favorite, was silly as the comic relief...bad direction. Only Benicio del Toro did a very credible job as the so-called good guy/badass-at-heart.

I started to write an in depth review of this film with great enthusiasm but it started to get too long; exactly like how this movie left me feeling.

I was not impressed. The writing was meh and the storyline was too basic. The only interesting part was the visuals....which was Brad Pitt.

Too formulaic & predictable. Too many 'boxes' checked i.e. race, sex, romance. Brad Pitt did a great job given the mediocre hand he was dealt.
