heart wrenching

Excellent adaptation of the book. Gripping and heartbreaking. Another view of Hitler's takeover and the immense loss of animal life...something that we probably never even thought about. The bravery of this couple who with very little help....saved about 300 lives. My only questionable moment was when the mother and daughter were found and murdered....how did the Nazi's know about them? Who betrayed them or did the raid on the bakery reveal their whereabouts.Overall, a very satisfying film...Jessica Chastain should be remembered for next year's Oscars....with a nomination for Best Actress.

Very good. Emotional and heartfelt. It does a great job of pulling you into the period and connecting with the characters.
