It was good! They told a great story, but could have actually incorporated the girls into the story more. There were a few jump scares but not a lot on the actual possession.

The movie was worth watching, but nothing special.

I honestly wasn't going to give a review for this movie because it was a meh for me. I didn't feel anything after the credits started rolling. There were jump scares that I jumped at, but it just didn't deliver like I wanted it to overall. The cast executed the best that they could with the material that was given. I understand a slow-burn to build the story up, but it was too slow. Disappointed.

There are a lot of things wrong with the new reboot but the biggest fundamental issue starts with the mediocre screenplay It seems like remaking one of the best horror movies of all time would be a daunting task, but maybe it didn't need to be remade to begin with. I'm sure, pretty soon we will see timeless classics be remade since brand recognition sells.\r
