Very well done! Cinematography, costumes, and acting were excellent. While Whoopi Goldberg was the best known of the actors, Danielle Deadwyler gave an exceptional performance.\r\rThe movie was of a very tragic part of our country's history, but the movie did an excellent job of portraying the civil rights movement.

I expected to be angry. It brought an inward attention to me. It really made me think AM I DOING ENOUGH?\rWhat am I going to do to help fight racism?!\rIt was an extremely well directed movie. My friend wouldn't attend because of anticipated anger and violence. I thought it was thought provoking. The actors were phenomenal! I plan to see it again.

I thought it was very educational as it tells one very horrific story about our American history. The movie was done with great finesse as it focused more on the strength of the Black woman, mother and community. It demonstrated the resilience of the human spirit to rise in the midst of complete brokenness. I will definitely see it again.
