Edee suffers a great loss. She attempts to deal with the loss in her own way. She is not prepared for the situation she finds herself. A local hunter finds her on the brink of death. He takes care of her and teaches her how to survive in the wilderness. With his friendship, she embraces life, past and present. She reaches out to him because he has not returned. She finds that he is dying. She has decided it is time to live!

"Land" is a film that hits you hard when you least expect it. The photography was breathtaking; with stunning views of the magnificent outdoors. It was readily apparent through Robin Wright's skilled direction and acting, that the Rockies were a main character in the film as Edee battles the wilderness for survival. Robin Wright portrays Edee with the right balance between harsh and vulnerable as she grapples with her unmeasurable grief, and through an unlikely friendship with a local hunter, she finds a way to live again with meaning. This is a movie I will definitely watch again.
