A confusing story that made no sense.

Good actors & acting, but slow moving plot and character development.

The lead up was far too long and slow! Finding the clues was messy and rushed. I think it was a great idea for a movie, but awkwardly put together. The person next to us left early.

Like FARGO, the local humor's broad, if inoffensive. HOLLAND lacks a protagonist. Nicole Kidman is precise, but the fascination with facsimiles doesn't take the gloss off or humanize any of these characters. I watched the whole story unfurl from far away. Well-designed but empty, with a punchless end. I have to fight, 36 hours later, to remember what happened. Good mechanics, little faith or interest in characters, ultimately a failure.
