It was a great movie with basically two plot lines what was happening in the ocean and what was going on in the outside and how they intermixed. Highly recommend to everyone but especially history/war/political buffs.

Great action/suspense naval movie. Similar but different to Red October. Gerard Butler was great as a submarine captain.

This is an amazing movie. Saw it tonight in Houston. Great ending that was believable and not anti-climatic. Very realistic movie. Some of the details throughout the movie were a little off (ice features in the Barents Sea,crushing of outer non-pressure resisting hull, bay anti-submarine defenses, etc.). However, the movie did not end abruptly. Good "feel good" movie. Awesome military special FX.
