Not a big fan of witchcraft films. However, I did enjoy the characters and the bits of humorous lines throughout the movie.

Captivating action. Top notch design. Eddie Redmayne remains exceptionally charming.

No pun intended but there is a lot of magic to be had in this film. The charcters are further expanded on and dynamics are shifted, Yates proves once again he knows the world and Depp shines.

We quite enjoyed the story and there were some definite surprises. However, Johnny Depp, while a capable actor, was miscast as Grindelwald. His voice lacks the depth and magnetism of someone who is allegedly extremely persuasive. He is too soft spoken to portray such a charismatic leader.
