I'm an F1 fan and though this film was playful and very Bruckheimery, it felt like an American anized version of F1. So as a bruckheimer fan I liked it pretty well ( white middle aged guys will love it which is probably what you're going for) but I predict F1 fans won't. Props for not making the 20 something pit girl Pitt's love interest.

It was good but would have been great if it was shorter. None of the romance elements were necessary and felt forced.

Cinematography, sound & SFX were outstanding--but story & characters were hackneyed! Troubled veteran driver, once up and coming, but broken by a mysterious accident, is hired by his easy-going former team mate, now team owner, to challenge and mentor a bright young hotshot driver (how has an all-knowing mother) while launching a love affair with bright, heart-on-her-sleeves TD, all the while keeping eyes on a good-for-nothing board member--and of course, it all comes down to THE LAST RACE OF THE SEASON!!! What cliche goes unchecked? This should've been called "Days Of Thunder--Redux."

Great action esp in IMAX
