A really fun popcorn flick, that benefits from Sam Jackson letting loose. Despite the history, it has no real barrier to entry. My wife came not knowing anything about Shaft and assuming it was going to be something trite and violent. She was pleasantly surprised and it lifted her up after a rather rough day at work.

A genuine comedic ride. This movie was a lot of fun and I'm highly impressed.

Lots of action. Good amount of humour mixed in.
