The film relied heavily on CG & not enough on Character Development. Personal preference is characters who you either fall in love with or despise. It didn't happen here. May have been better with more interaction between Godzilla and the people who were pulling for him. Perhaps aa love-hate relationship even.

from all the buzz i got from critics complaining that there was too much fighting between monsters instead of a decent plot, id argue theres more monsters and LESS FIGHTING BETWEEN MONSTERS. It keeps cutting away from the 7 mins of monster fighting for more than two hours of mediocre family drama thats deciding the fate of the planet. cg is blurry, color coding is ugly and i could care less
