I thought the movie was solid but not great. It's a huge upgrade from the first Annabelle movie but doesn't come close to living up to the first Conjuring. My main complaint about it is that the scares are all jump scares and they are almost constant. So there's no time for any tension because it's just constantly trying to make you jump. So while it will scare audiences, it does nothing new.

Annabelle Creation was a decent origins story. if you were just going in for the scares, it worked, but if you want a clearer background story, it was lacking. The demon and nun could have been better explained as far as how they related to the doll and the possession of the young girl. The movie had a bit of an Insidious vibe to it, which were better movies than the Annabelle movies.

Good movie a bit slow at the beginning then getting better, keeps you interested all the time
