I did not like abuseive father. I felt the children turn out great. The mother was no better.

I would give that movie about two or two-and-a-half stars. There isn't enough action in it.

It do it for me.

Overall acting was good - they made the most of a weak screenplay (adaptation) and weak directing. Should've delved farther into the mother's story who probably would've been much more interesting aspect of actual story than the father. At many times I felt like I was watching a Lifetime TV movie.
