Much better than I expected!

I had low expectations after the last few DC movies, but I was thoroughly entertained by Shazam! I thought it was a refreshing new style and extremely funny.

I rather enjoyed it. Much more than I anticipated. The casting was great. The two main kids and Levi were perfect. I’ve enjoyed the DC films for their more serious approach to things but the humor mixed with some downright scariness was perfect for this flick. I thought the movie had a lot of good messages about family. I did think that the adult Shazam was a bit over the top with the "childish" reactions especially since the "kid" version of shazam was not that animated or playful. I also thought there was a lot of unnecessary cussing - especially since this is portrayed as being more kid friendly.All in all, I was pleasantly surprised!
