Another Scorsese film that explores the difficult terrain of faith and its intersection with life. Superb acting.

A harrowing journey of faith and persecution. I really liked the ideals presented. The acting was incredible, the directing was masterful and the cinematography was beautiful. Great, great film.

My high school senior son and I are still having discussions and asking each other questions about the moral, physical, and emotional dilemmas the characters faced in the movie and their subsequent choices. Great directing and great acting.
