Strong animation graphics is the only high point of this movie. Release in the midst of other animated movies such as 'Kubo and the two strings' and 'Storks' renders it inferior by comparison. The scripted lines uttered by the animals on the island sounds stilted and cliched. Only Crusoe's dialogue fared better. The boredom of the audiences are palpable. Not a movie I will urge people to go watch

This movie didn't keep the little kids attention like I thought it would, and it had a lot of commentary party's! It had some behaviors that I don't care to see that little kids par take in!

The movie was mildy entertaining. Didn't have a lot of funny parts, and it had a lot more violence than I expected for a children's movie. My 4 and 6 yr old daughters were almost in tears during the parts with the animals fighting off the cats. As a cat lover, I also do not like the way the cats were depicted in the film. It seems like they have to make the cats extra evil to fill in for lack of plot

The quality of the animation is wonderful. However, my husband and I found the themes to be grim for young audiences; our kids are 9 and 7. Lots of mean-spiritedness; the death of a main and several tertiary characters, and near death of others; the flagrant use of guns; the references to cannibalism.... And the movie wasn't funny. It felt more like a film for young adults.
