The pace of the movie was slow. Character development was slow. Was this movie about coming out? Discovering who you are sexually? Falling in love? Control? The director appeared to want to create a European feel and fell short. The actors did a good job with limited script support. The support actors should not be overlooked.As I would of only given this movie 3 star

enjoyable although slow in places. Loved the costume designs from the 1950's. The story line is incredible and portrayed well since the topic was rather taboo in the 1950's. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

They captured the 50's perfectly. It was a bit slow in places. And I really appreciated that there were no VIP's except members of the press. We were all able to get seats.

Fantastic performances, well made film from a technical standpoint and I liked the original score. But it was painfully dull with little conflict throughout and at the end of it all it felt only slightly more than a how-they-met start of a romance than a full fledged romantic film.
