Cute film. Would recommend to my girlfriends... not to my husband.

I liked it...it was very amusing

I have mixed feelings about Period Pieces. I can have difficulty with the dialogue and humor. I do enjoy the settings and the costumes.

I did like it but I did not love it. It was a bit too much wink-wink to the audience, a bit too satirical, instead of just silly. Once I got used to the tone and was drawn into the story and emotion, you lost me at the nose bleed. It was not dainty, it was gross. He would have cleaned her up better, she would have cared more. \rThe group picnic really did remind me of Great Gatsby when they were all lounging around bored in the heat hoping for someone to entertain them.\rThe actors did a great job, 5 stars, but the tone and style was 3 stars\r
