This movie is absolutely wonderful. I love how this new film creates its own line of monsters, such as the lady with the distorted face, the headless man from Ben's fear, the invalid from Eddie's fear and even the children's television program that always plays on TV. It gives Pennywise The Clown more range, making him more dynamic than the Tim Curry iteration from the 1990 mini-series.

Scary indeed but too many forced funny moments

A coming of age story disguised as a horror film. It balances the scares and the young adult realism well. The best part of the horror was the use of sound design to boost the scares. Great great, well shot, overall a great horror movie.
