Good but a little too rough.

Even though it's very urban and includes violence the film delves into the hearts and mines of the young people of today. Their love, friendship and family relationships are the same as mainstream America even as they survive on a different socioeconomic level. BL do M.

I enjoyed this greatly. While the lack of any parents, teachers or positive adult influences was disturbing, the journey we enjoyed with these characters was moving. This was like a boys in the hood for 2016. Flacco was extremely menacing but a well rounded character given his love for his son. Outstanding film.

While I don't like hip-hop/rap music, this was an innovative study in the hood lifestyle and reasons for black on black violence. I like that they did show the name and artist of the song being focused on, and gave you a lynchpin for the upcoming scenes... The young actors were also very good and I liked the idea of the astronaut and it's visual cue for the protagonist's viewpoint.
