It is very overwhelming, but it’s also incredibly fun. I loved it, although I thought it’s nowhere near as good as La La Land. The performances are incredible, I loved the editing and the cinematography and I thought the story (although it was intense) was very believable and coherent. I did not even realize it was 3 hours long because the pacing was perfect in my opinion.

It’s a fairly spectacular movie, a big glittering extravaganza and often just sexy as Hell. Brad Zpitt and Margot Robbie are like always as good as it gets acting wise, and it’s funny too. I gave it four because it’s too long.

The film was a wonder to look at in many ways. However, the writing was disjointed towards the end. Some of the plot didn't make sense. I also noticed that in one of the closing scenes, there was a montage of memorable film moments from history. None of those moments were recognizably associated with or featured people of color (besides Avatar...in CGI/costume). Language and trigger warnings
