As corny as it will sound, the movie really did leave me a bit speechless. As a fan of Eggers’ previous work, I went in with high expectations, and this exceeded them. It was nice seeing his unique voice and level of craft applied to an easier to follow narrative.\r\rWas disappointed to hear people around me reacting in such a lukewarm way to the film. I know it may not be for everyone, but I really hope people go out of there way to see this, so we get more like it from studios in the future.

Extremely well done. Great cinematography, art/costume design, and sound design. Very reminiscent (in a positive way) of The Revenant or Game of Thrones. Appreciated the period accurate-ness and very captivating for the subject matter. Also appreciated the lack of toning things down - a Viking movie with this sort of subject matter should be bloody and violent! Acting was great all around. For the runtime, the movie didn't drag and actually flew by. There was a good balance of drama, action, and emotion. Eggers did a great job balancing his style with audience appeal. Thank you!

This film was viscerally stunning. The music, cinematography, set pieces, tone, and more made this a beautiful film.
