A little slow to start, awkward spaces sometimes.. but overall a good movie. Would have loved a little bit more developement of the plot.

It was very unusual. The acting was good. Seems like there could easily be a sequel. The idea part was when the chef came out of the ground. It keep you engaged.

I thought it was a FANTASTIC meditation on art and ambition and the sometimes scary prospect of giving up everything you know to take a stab at doing something you love. No jump scare can touch that fear. The arc was a clever take on the familiar hero's journey with some interesting spins on gender and misogyny along the way, and a few fun jabs at horror tropes for good measure. Oh and it was gorgeously photographed and the score was haunting and densely beautiful and the editing was dead on. My only minor complaint was some cheap looking CGI in the first act. Otherwise near flawless.

The story was well done, the plot was unique, the acting was amazing. Towards the end, I felt like I could tell there were scenes cut and it felt a little rushed. Particularly when the chef was locked in the wine cellar, it felt like there was too sudden of a shift from overwhelmed to “crazy”. There were a few plot holes I would’ve like explained, such as the Magnus connection to it all. Overall solid film and was pleasantly surprised Blumhouse is upping their game; I’m usually weary of basic horror and tend to like more stories like Midsommar, Hereditary, Barbarian…
