It was interesting to see the conflict in the culture between his father's and mother's dreams for their son. I liked the exploration of what it means to succeed and how to pay for school. The girlfriend part was well written as well. I thought Monk as his rival basketball star was underwritten and full of stereotypes. A different take on being a basketball star and the big game.

Good show filled with cultural and diversity undertone. Sweet ending.

It was ok enough that it held my interest.

The movie had a good story line. I did feel like it dragged a bit but overall it was good.
