I appreciate seeing this movie about a true historic event which was not widely publicized happening soon after 911. I also got to learn the Americans' new ally's code of honor and warfare tactics. The uniqueness of the Afghan terrain and the use of horses to fight a battle against an enemy armed with tanks and mortars shows the resourcefulness of such a brave alliance.

At first, I thought it was like every war film I seen in recent years, but I was wrong. I was very impressed by the story, cast, and action. 2 thumbs up. I might have to go see it again when it comes out in theaters.

Good cast, great story but an overly nationalistic feel.
