Annabelle had a familiar back story, with the family tragically losing a young child. From there, the characters were relatable and the movie provided moderate thrills. I found the characters' plight to be more touching due them being young girls. Overall, the film had a solid buildup with a respectable ending and plenty of action sandwiched in between.
