very interesting

Cute, fun, yet mature coming-of-age film. Casting is great, as well as the comedy. It really captures the way it feels to be a girl in high school, dealing with crushes, best friends, and family turmoil. The R rating adds a level of believability to the story; allowing characters to swear realistically and approach sex more directly. It's not totally a chick flick, but it does lean in that direction... but if you're in or remember high school, I think you'll relate to it. I liked the movie a lot, and would recommend it for some good laughs along with some emotional feels.

I thought it was a good viewpoint of a 17 year old girl in identity crisis. I watched it as a father with my 15 year old daughter and found it touching at times and funny as well. It also made me aware of what a teenager especially a girl might go trough during those years. It also reminded me of 16 candles which was the teen movie of my generation. I highly recommend it.
