Hoped it might have turned out differently. The father dying upset me. The movie was disturbing enough when the youngest child died, but what the kids and Mom went through was just too much. Acting and plot were good. Not a film I'd ever want to watch again!

Very good acting, visuals, and resolution. The actions of the parents in regards to their children's safety, especially early on in the movie, was problematic...and seemed to be more in service of the plot, than in line with believable behavior. There were also too many "jump scares". This movie was a great example of "show don't tell" storytelling, which was really impressive.

Should have gone straight to dvd
