Black Phone 2 is very much a reflection of its predecessor, however this impression is not viewed through a mirror but a sheet of ice. The image is cracked but cannot break through the cold to the heights of the original. I enjoyed this sequel but enjoyed the first more as I found that to be more appropriately grounded. This is a bit bigger in scale and maybe reaches a bit too far with its stretch

I really thought it was a great full circle back to the first film . This had a different vibe to it for sure . But it was good . I still like the first one but this gives more back story to a lot of things. .

The Black Phone 2 is not perfect, but it’s bold, creepy, and rich with ideas. It shows the Grabber stepping up his game — scarier, more supernatural, more relentless. The emotional beats sometimes get buried under gore, and yes, the story stretches itself too thin in patches. Still, for horror fans who want blood, tension, jumps, and a villain that gets stronger, this is a strong sequel.
