Other than the camera shots were too close to the performers faces I liked the film.

Important part of history that was lost for 50 years brought to life again! Very insightful.

This was more compelling a movie than i thought it would be -- when i walked out with my husband, we immediately thought we'd have to take our 2 high school kids to see it. great acts here, and just the right amount of historical context sprinkled in, as well. we have recommended it to music-appreciating family members.

This was a great film, capturing the essence of changing times and expression through powerful music. It also showed the impact of gospel on so much of the music. \rI did not even know about the Harlem Cultural Festival. Highlight performances for me in the film were Sly & the Family Stone and Fifth Dimension.
