They told us we would be let in at 7:15 but we were stuck waiting outside in the cold until 8:30. I was towards the front of the line but still ended up only getting a seat in the front two rows of the theater.

The pace of the movie felt too fast, like it wanted to jampack as much content and fanfare into 2.5 hours to the detriment of engaging character development. In many moments, the dialogue between characters was not great; I couldn't decide if that was due to poor writing or poor acting. Nonetheless, as a fan of the first Hunger Games movies, the watch was mostly enjoyable and didn't succumb to lack of action. Also, the live special fan event in NYC's Lincoln Center was disorganized - no staff member was explaining where to wait in line, and the check-in/seating process was unclear

Too violent. Too much repetitive music (though it was lovely). Acting was great. Special effects nice. Most good seats taken up by press. We were lucky enough to get in but lots could not. We didn’t like the LA interviews, except for Viola Davis and the actor who played the weatherman. The interviews were too long. We prefer seeing just the film. The beginning games were stupid and worthless. The doors to the theatre did not open on time and it was cold. If I was one of the people who didn’t get In I’d be very frustrated. Way too much hype about the film.

The movie itself was a well-done adaptation of the book, but we weren’t prepared for the 45 minutes of red carpet interviews at the start of the show, and got out much later than expected on a Monday night. Phones were required to be off during this pre-show, so we had to watch all of it and had no idea when the actual film would start.
