A film that deals with many modern issues despite the time period. Acceptance, racism, balance, and youth counterculture are all addressed in a meaningful and developed way.I enjoyed this film a lot, but I could see how it may fall on deaf ears for some. A coming-of-age story mixed with a father-son relationship set in the 80s tries to cover many demographics without firmly landing on one.
