Film was amazing war story about an unconventional hero. It digs into topics of prejudgement by our fellow man and the constant struggle to maintain your personal moral compass against life's pressures. Best war movie since Saving Private Ryan!

This movie was really amazing. It does an amazing job of depicting the soldiers as people and driving home the personal nature of the relationships. You really get to enjoy the early part of the life of Doss and learn of the reasonings he has behind his decisions. It plays as a stark contrast to the later war part of the movie, which shows the audience the stark differences between war and peace.
