It was a bit contrite but enjoyable.\rHOWEVER, the showing/broadcasting of it was awful. It kept stopping and I'd have to wait for it to continue showing. I don't have this trouble with other movies downloading and showing. It was a frustrating experience. I am signed up for another of the movie and hope it is better.

Plot-wise, the film meanders and drifts, but the ending ties a nice bow on the picture.\r\rVisually, it's absolutely stunning, and it's almost revolutionary for a movie driven by black characters to not be processed through the lens of racism, drugs, or violence. The characters had universal problems and experiences.\r\rThe production design, costumes, and colors were magnificent, or as the characters often repeated, "Extraordinary!"

Though somewhat predictable, the fine performances and attention to period detail and locale create a warm nostalgic mood in this charming story. I like these people!
