Not certain if it was a true story but it held my attention.

It was a gritty story about a kid growing up as a outsider. It makes you reflect on your own childhood. Some will relate, others will be shocked. Every family faces its own challenges. This is a roller coaster ride from the start. Very touching story.

Great, contemporary coming-of-age film, which showed me a world I hadn't seen. Tragic to know this was one of Pop Smoke's last performances. He had so much potential. The rest of the cast was wonderful, too.
