I thought it was a good movie. I liked the storyline and I was happy to see that he got the girl in the end.

It was an endearing film. Acting was excellent and the songs were true to the characters and the era. I was hoping to hear Maria Doyle Kennedy sing... Only change--leave out the cut scene with the mom getting out a vibrator while the boys were practicing their music.

It's a great little movie that sneaks up on you. I went in for the 80s music but stayed for the great performances and wonderful simple little story.

The backdrop of the 80's is well-known to most movie-goers, whether or not they lived during that era or not. The acting is quite natural despite a cast of mostly unknowns. My only minor complaint is that it becomes overly sentimental in parts, but the relationship that Cosmo had with his brother was truly special.
