Good story, special effects and I liked Carla Gugino's performance. I would have liked a few more surprise interactions of butterfield's character when he experiences things for the first time. I really liked that twist ending.

The visual is very cinematic and beautiful, but the soundtrack is lacking. I feel like the director tried to fit so many parts in this movie: before the mission, finding out about the baby, life on mars, more debate, life on earth, running from NASA, running from NASA with the girl, and more. Although the movie covers the whole journey, there was not enough time to dwell on any part. Some parts can be shortened, such as running away. I would love if I got to see how the boy learns his way around in Mars than how he tried to adapt to Earth.

Movie was entertaining and funny.

My husband and I thought that it was a good movie. The movie moved at the right pace with no lags. I would recommend seeing this. Before you watch the movie, think about "what is your favorite thing about Earth."
