Really opened my eyes to another culture's struggle.

I love when comedies are able to show the serious side of life. I appreciated the movie for giving me insight on what life was like for a Pakistani family in the 80s. The acting was great. The only thing I could have done without were the scenes with Bruce Springsteen songs where the lyrics were written on the screen and emphasized- it was sporadic and seemed out of place.

The plot is a bit cliche, but the story has heart. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.
