It was nice that it was funny too and not just sad.

The movie was very entertaining, funny with a good message. The actors were very believable. I remember students like the main character. Greg's and Earl's movie version of famous movies were hilarious. The sadness was not overplayed. The only thing I felt was the parents' personalities were over the top. I understand that the parents were portrayed as they are seen by the children.
