If you're a big fan of the Shining, you might appreciate it more than I did. However, I felt like this was too long and there were definitely scenes that were hard to take in. Cut out some of the fluff and you actually have a good movie.

I actually fell asleep a couple of times and it lost me. I'm not sure how I feel about this movie.

It was not scary at all and I didnt like the way they hurt kids in that movie glad it was free almost left before it was even over .

My brother and I were ready to leave in the first 10 minutes. The movie sought to capitalize on Nostalgia. Everything from the tagline "Dare to go back" to the recreation of scenes from The Shining tried hard to anchor itself in that masterpiece. But the movie falls short on so many levels: Confusing story, boring characters with no arch and no point, weak cinematography, HORRIBLE antagonist.
