Actors were well cast. Very good adaptation. I’m glad it was still set in the 70s, and not updated. Cameo from Judy Blume was a plus!

Such a tear jerker !

It's been a long time since I read the book so I can't compare the movie vs. the book. However, I will say that this movie looked very much like I'd expect. It was entertaining, it was encouraging, and I would recommend it to anyone! Although, I suspect most of the people going to the movie will be middle aged women who read the book as a child.

It brought back all the memories I had (age 10) regarding this book - how there were parents who wanted this book banned because of the content (menstruation, body development, contemplating religion/God). The movie was well done and the story is still timely!
