I cannot overstate how much this movie raises the bar for every movie musical going forward. This is what happens when a diverse and imaginative creative team comes together to service the source material first and foremost. It hits every mark by translating the stage musical to the screen and letting the audience live in this world a little longer. It’s pure magic.
