I really liked the film and the subject of the Asian American experience. It really hit home with a lot of beats on Taiwan and the cultural household, as well as the personalities of the parents. There are so many well crafted details that will probably go unnoticed for the general audience, but the general story of basketball and trying to live up to your parents' ideals will be universally understood. I liked the perspectives the character Eleanor brought for the film, especially the note that every culture has struggled in different ways.

It made me consider more of the things other cultures and teens are going through in their lives.
