Well done. Very clever screen devices were used to depict the enormity of the Nazi takeover of Poland. The acting was very good altho' the depiction of Antonina was, based on the script, different than in the book. There she was a more assertive leader whereas in the movie she seemed more a follower.

Excellent cinematography! Great actors! The storyline well written! Captured the attention of the viewers from beginning to end !

Excellent movie, but painful to watch. Why produce a movie on human cruelty when the human race never actually learns the lesson to be learned here? The movie is set in World War II era Warsaw, but the same kinds of events shown in the movie are going on today in Syria and other places. So instead of "Never forget", we have instead indeed forgotten and are perhaps doomed to always forget. Not a very positive view, but I haven't seen much improvement in many centuries of human history. It might just as well be the Middle Ages right now, except that the weapons are better.

Liked it a lot. Despite being about a horrible time the movie didn't plunge you into horror and depression as others do. They just told the story.
