The most intelligent sci-fi in years, Arrival says as much about discovering our humanity as discovering how to communicate with another world. The topic is very valuable in today's charged "polar" political and ideological climate. There's a raw lesson in the story.Amy Adams captures the frustration, fear, and strength it takes to have an open mind in order to resolve insurmountable obstacles.

I liked this movie a lot, even though it wasn't what I expected. I was going in thinking it would be more action, but it was more of a thinking movie...that was a pleasant surprise. The visual effects were amazing!

I enjoyed its complexity but it is probably not appealing to a large amount of teenagers and kids.
