Beautiful and poignant. So sad but also hopeful. Teyana Taylor needs to win an Oscar for this one.

This was an emotional film about a young mother dealing with a kid in the foster system. Highly recommended, but have a tissue handy.

Enjoyed the film and the performances especially the main actress. Had a lot to cover in capturing that timeline but it never felt rushed. The story was strong and resilient but also touching and vulnerable. The setting and time period also gave it authenticity. Great film would watch more from this filmmaker!

Captivating look at life. I don't often think of things in relation to "is my privilege speaking" but that thought came to me after seeing this movie. It opened my eyes to think a little bit about how in my life, I've been grateful to have encountered problems and then I can address it, fix it, and move on. Not everyone has that capability. Some problems continue on, get worse, and don't go away. This movie really brought that to my attention.
