Not as groundbreaking as the first installment, but still a fun and enjoyable movie throughout. Viewed it in 3D so not sure if the quality holds up on regular screenings, or the director wants audiences to rely on an outdated technology to compensate for the films shortfalls.

Visually this movie is amazing and NEEDS to be seen at least once on the big screen. That being said I've seen a lot of these tropes and set pieces in other works ( Free Willy, Avatar, Titanic, etc.) I don't want to come off negative this is a solid spectacle but visuals can only lift up a familiar story so much . Great performances, I'm curious what that Avatar saga has in store going forward.
