Den of Thieves 2 has all the action, suspense, and complicated characters that people loved about the first movie. It was a bit too long however it kept my attention the whole time!

Having not seen the 1st I found the 1st half a little slow as it focused on showing the growing relationship between previously introduced characters. Due to a lack of understanding the backstory I missed a number of jokes and references that a lot of attendees who apparently saw the 1st caught and enjoyed. However once I was able to piece together who was who it was off to the races and the movies was very tension filled and enjoyable. I suggest folks watch the 1st one before seeing this to get the fill experience but still an enjoyable film.

The movie is entertaining and offers a storyline that you are able to follow. The only confusing scene was the shoot out car scene. I wasn’t sure who exactly was after them. Gerald Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr. are excellent actors that portray likeable characters. I did not see the two twists at the end of the film coming which I found to be a very good way to end the story. The ending to me does also set the stage for a possible 3rd film in the series .
