I was especially impressed by the use of sound in the film. As you watch, you become increasingly aware of all of the sounds in daily life that Ruben can no longer hear (e.g., birds singing, the wind in the trees, the creaking of stairs and door hinges) that go unnoticed. Juxtapose this with the return of sound to Ruben’s life after implant surgery and his desire for stillness that signals his likely return to Joe’s home for the deaf and related school.

It is cool. I think there are two things that may be missing -\r\rDid they ever explain rule for the group? Not to wear C.I.? something like that. \r\rDid audiologist ever warn about natural sounds vs. mechanical sounds? \r\rOtherwise good plot and story.

It was a very good movie that gives a person a lot to think about.

I think it gives a different perspective with people with hearing problems and I am glad I learned something.
